Join Graeme McDonald for a free instrument making workshop where he covers the making of two instruments – the Mandolin and the Bouzouki.

The mandolins are inspired by classic early 20th century American instruments, in a carved A style, an asymmetrical two-point model and an F style mandolin.

The Irish bouzouki and cittern are part of an ever evolving family of mandolin family instruments. Both are essentially big mandolins tuned an octave lower, with the cittern having an extra course of strings, usually higher, but sometimes a lower course is added..
